Herons Nest
Who we are
Clodagh Drennan MSc
With over 28 years of experience in a male-dominated corporate world, Clodagh has committed herself to a unique approach to healing and expansion. Her passion lies in helping women reconnect with their bodies and break free from the trappings of a fast-paced world. She guides them in unlearning, exploring, and retrieving a sense of self, value, and purpose beyond the confines of the career world. This dedication has led her to create 'The Heron's Nest,' a holistic guesthouse devoted to women. At the core of Clodagh's vision is the belief that beneath the many roles women assume, there exists a seed of self, yearning to be nurtured and blossom.
Clodagh's journey has been one of profound self-discovery, where she realized the body's role as a sacred pathway to the deepest memories of selfhood. This personal realization has led her to seamlessly merge science and spirituality, fostering an understanding of our existence as dynamic living ecosystems, interconnected in the beautiful tapestry of life.
Her educational and professional background is as rich and diverse as her experiences. A former CEO, Clodagh holds an MSc in Healthcare Management, a BSc in Nursing Studies, and a Transpersonal Psychology certification. Her interest in Psychoneuroimmunology reflects her deep engagement with mind, body, and spirit.
Clodagh's insatiable curiosity has driven her to explore various spiritual and psychological disciplines. Her journey through Tantrayana Buddhism, Daoism, Shamanism, and Jungian Psychology has endowed her with a desire to explore an understanding of energy and consciousness.
At "The Heron's Nest," Clodagh offers a transformational retreat space where women can immerse themselves in nature and embark on a journey of self-exploration and remembrance. Her approach is holistic, blending her extensive life experience, professional qualifications, and spiritual insights to create a sanctuary for women to rediscover their innate aspects and foster personal growth.
The Heron's Nest is not just a guesthouse; it's a cradle for nurturing the inner self and a space where the seeds of self can flourish.

At the core of Cathy's work is a deep curiosity in women's mysticism and the esoteric. Trained under teachers in her homeland of Ireland and with renowned guides from around the world, including Medicine Woman Shonagh Home, Cathy embodies a modern medicine woman. She identifies as a Ban Draoi (Irish Wise Woman) and seamlessly merges science and mysticism to support a grounded approach to life that is deeply meaningful, connected, and embodied.
Much of Cathy's growth is inspired by the wisdom of her mother, Clodagh, and witnessing her mother's pursuit of healing and self-empowerment. It is a joy for Cathy to co-create a space with her mother where women can come to feel supported through layers of shedding and remembering.
